Chamber Of Commerce Association Of Alabama issued the following announcement on March 4.
The Wilcox Area Chamber of Commerce Director identifies and coordinates programs and activities, which enhance the general welfare and quality of life of the communities within Wilcox County; promotes and advances tourism opportunities; and encourages the growth within the business networks of the area.
The Director is ultimately responsible for leadership of the activities of the Chamber, insuring that its vision, mission, and objectives are achieved; written and oral communication with the business community and members of the Chamber; fundraising efforts of the Chamber; development, execution, and documentation of Chamber projects in the Wilcox area. The Director is the principal, on-site staff person responsible for coordinating all Chamber project activities locally and representing the community regionally and nationally. The Director reports to the Executive Committee of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and must establish a good working relationship with the Chamber Board of Directors, Chamber Membership, and City/County representatives, as well as providing leadership to Chamber staff and volunteers in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the organization.
