Gadsden Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 11.

We are excited to announce a great addition to an already excellent training opportunity! The Federal Department of Labor’s Office on Disability Employment Policy’s (ODEP) EARN program will be joining us during our 2nd Annual Medical and Psychological Aspects of Disability in the Workplace one-day training event, Thursday, March 21, 2019, on at the Trussville Civic Center, Trussville, AL, to talk about the benefits of establishing a Disability Employee Resources Group (ERG).

EARN’s training, “Disability Employee Resource Groups as Recruitment and Retention Strategies” will provide an overview of ERGs and BRGs, will showcase how companies are using this resource to bolster recruitment and retention strategies, and will provide an introduction on how to develop ERG’s within your company. In addition, attendees at the March 21st training will receive free access to a follow-up webinar on April 16th that will provide detailed instruction on building your organization’s first ERG/BRG.
