Graduates earn 1,001 degrees, certificates from Auburn University at Montgomery


About 21.3 percent of the 1,001 degrees and certificates handed out by Auburn University at Montgomery in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Montgomery conferred 213 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 179 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 84 bachelor's degrees in information technology and 55 master's degrees in general business/commerce.

The university enrolled 4,894 students for 2017-18, including 4,313 in undergraduate programs and 581 in graduate programs.
