
About 27.1 percent of the 8,881 degrees and certificates handed out by The University of Alabama in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Tuscaloosa conferred 1981 bachelor's degrees and 420 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 416 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 393 bachelor's degrees in general marketing/marketing management and 389 bachelor's degrees in general finance.
The university enrolled 38,563 students for 2017-18, including 33,305 in undergraduate programs and 5,258 in graduate programs.
